If you’re like most, you’ve never had a family member in a Long Term Care facility and you may feel all alone. You’re not. The Family Council can help you.
Who is the Family Council?
The Bennett Centre Family Council consists of YOU, the family, friends and POA’s of the residents of the Bennett Centre LTC. We support each other. Our collective experience and knowledge is shared for the betterment of all. We are self-led, self-determining and democratic group.
What Does the Family Council Do?
We exist alongside the Management Team and Valued Employees of the Bennett Centre, to support them, provide a collective voice, working to improve the Bennett Centre as they care for our loved ones. Often your questions or any concerns are shared by other family members. Together we can ask these questions or raise any concerns to the management team, who in turn will provide an answer to all the family members. It’s a close relationship. It helps the Management Team stay efficient and ensures your family’s questions or concerns are not lost.
- We meet via Zoom once every week or two for approximately 30min. We share and discuss questions, concerns and importantly, solutions. We support each other. The days & times of the Zoom meetings can be found in the Family Council’s Facebook page.
- Join the Family Council Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Bennettfamilycounsel . If you are unable to attend a Zoom meeting, feel free to post your question in the Facebook group.
There is no cost. We look forward meeting you at the next meeting. Check out our Facebook group for dates & times.
