French Language Service Identification Approved

We are happy to share that our application for French Language Services Identification has been approved by Ontario Health Central. This recognition highlights Bennett Centre’s commitment to supporting local Francophone populations, resulting in improved access to quality FLS services.

We would like to extend a warm welcome to our new Board Chair, Céline Moore, PhD. Céline is a bilingual resident of Georgetown with over 20 years’ executive level leadership experience in early-stage biotechnology companies, as well as not-for-profit and publicly funded organizations.   She brings to the Bennett Village Board her extensive experience in research and development, contract negotiation, licensing and legal affairs as well as research infrastructure management.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to our previous Board Chair, Brian Clark.  During Brian’s tenure, his hard work and commitment has been instrumental in the launch of many new initiatives that have further enriched the lives of our residents and the efficient function of the Home.  We thank him for his dedication, passion, and inspirational leadership. Although Brian has stepped down as Board Chair, we are pleased that he will remain on the Board, as a member.

On October 25th, 2021, at the Halton Hills Council meeting, our Board Chair and Chair of the Development Committee presented Bennett Centre’s development update and requested the Council’s support for the proposed development. On March 25th Entité 3 hosted their ‘Forum on French-Language Health Services’. Our Executive Director, Mike Bakewell was invited to do a presentation on Bennett Centre’s new development, including a Francophone unit. Thank you Entité 3 for including us in this engaging, informative event, we were honored to share our vision of our new LTC project with the Francophone community.
