Sheridan Student Placements
Students in Sheridan’s Practical Nursing program complete 3 separate clinical placements. Group placements occur in LTC and hospitals. A final 450-hour consolidation placement follows a preceptor model and can occur in LTC or a hospital. During placement, students work with residents/placements to provide physical, social and emotional care. Clinical placements are where students integrate theory with practice, meet program vocational outcomes and prepare for their careers in the Practical Nursing field.
